Volkswagen India Was Super Busy Last Week

Besides opening multiple touchpoints in Gujarat, the carmaker delivered 150 cars in Kerala on day 1 of Onam.

Since the first set of models conceived under the India 2.0 project hit the market, Volkswagen India has steadily gained popularity and market share. And to keep up with the demand, the brand has been consistently strengthening its reach. And two developments from the week that went by further solidify those claims. One comes from Gujarat, while the other is from Kerela.

Gujarat

Volkswagen India inaugurated six new touchpoints in Gujarat, one of its key markets. They are in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Anand, Bharuch, and Bardoli. These new outlets, which further strengthen the collaboration between Volkswagen India and Automark Group, will be managed by a team of 65 personnel. With the new touchpoints now live, the Indian arm of the German automaker has increased its presence in Gujarat to 15 sales and 8 service facilities. Nationwide, the brand now has 183 sales and 131 service outlets.

The newly opened touchpoints at Anand, Bharuch, and Bardoli bolster Volkswagen India’s pre-owned car business – Das WeltAuto (DWA). These should serve the brand well, which witnessed a 25 per cent growth in DWA in Gujarat.

Kerala

Volkswagen India delivered 150 cars in one day in the state of Kerala. And it was a rather special day for the local citizens – Chingam 1, day one of the Onam festival. The list of cars delivered included locally-engineered Virtus and Taigun models and the brand’s flagship offering in India – the Tiguan. Besides those, 50 pre-owned Volkswagen cars were handed over to their takers.
