Have you ever wondered/dreamed about what it would be like to own a Bugatti Veyron? This was one of the ultimate poster cars for so many people, but how much would it actually cost to own and run one?
There have been rumours saying that the average oil change would set you back $20,000 – but is this really true? Sadly, it is and it gets way worse…
The EPA certificate pictured below is from 2014 and it gives you a little taster of the pains of Veyron life. These are the kind of costs that make you want to stick a pin under your toenail and kick a door.
But before you see the report, let’s give you a little taster of what you can expect to see. If a Veyron owner wanted a new fuel tank, that would cost them €17,904 ($18,329) but that’s just the start.
Because, if you wanted it to be fitted by a group of Bugatti’s professional mechanics then that will add an extra €20,000 ($20,475) resulting in a grand total of €37,904 ($38,804). That’s about the same cost as a brand-new BMW 3 Series…
Despite these astronomical costs, we doubt a Veyron owner would be all that phased by it because an interesting statistic shows that the average Bugatti also has 84 other cars, three jets and one yacht. Alright for some!
