Champions League :  An expected draw for French clubs

The beginning of the season of PSG is promising in view of the dynamics of the team and the satisfactory results for the Parisians. The Champions League will be a first big test for the club of the capital to see if the ambitions wanted by Christophe Galtier are achievable. Being French champion, PSG will probably have an affordable group, but wouldn’t it be detrimental for a team that needs to see as soon as possible what it is worth against a big European team? Indeed, PSG has a great chance to face a top European club in the second group, it could have a “group of death” with PSG, FC Barcelona and Inter. We must not forget the English clubs Liverpool and Chelsea who will be a threat for PSG in the group stages. Nevertheless, PSG is confident in the beginning of the season, which is not the case for Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. We could imagine that a confrontation between PSG and these potential opponents would turn into a demonstration for PSG and its trio of flamboyant strikers.

OM: a figment or a real hope for the round of sixteen ?

For the Phocaea club, it is not in the same way that it will approach the competition, on the contrary, a qualification in the eighth final would appear of exploit. OM is in hat 4, which means that the group of death seems more than possible for Igor Tudor’s men. Will OM do better in terms of prestige than their 2013 group with Napoli, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. What is certain is that OM will have to behave as a team capable of offering a show to its fans and a real desire on the field and not make the same mistake as in 2020 and the sad record of the number of consecutive defeats in C1.
