What is the 2027 Kawasaki Ninja H2?
Kawasaki has reintroduced its fabled Ninja H2 superbike, which now comes with Euro5+ compliance. The 2027 Ninja H2 is the brand’s flagship superbike refined for modern riding requirements while retaining its distinct forced induction engine. The H2 carries the brand’s “River Mark” badge reserved for models of exceptional engineering significance.
How has the engine been changed for Euro5+?
While the Ninja H2 looks similar to its predecessor, it’s the core mechanicals of the motorcycle that have seen a comprehensive update for the new model year. The Ninja H2 now features a heavily redesigned 998 cc supercharged inline-four, which now features a re-engineered supercharger impeller and intake system and introduces new pistons, cylinder head, cylinder, crankshaft, camshafts, throttle bodies and exhaust system, along with revised gear ratios. And a lighter single-pipe exhaust silencer for a lighter system and improved mid-range torque delivery.
The 998 CC supercharged inline-four produces 208 hp with ram air and a maximum torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed return-type dog-ring gearbox.
What hardware updates does the 2027 H2 receive?
The most significant hardware change is at the front brake. The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja H2 becomes the first Kawasaki model to incorporate Brembo Hypure four-piston front callipers, replacing the earlier Stylema M50 units. Kawasaki claims the new hardware is designed to be lightweight yet deliver durable and more linear braking performance under heavy braking. The front disc uses dual 330 mm rotors, and the rear comes with a single 250mm disc.
The core chassis architecture remains unchanged; it continues to feature a steel trellis frame developed to offer balance between stiffness and flexibility at high speeds, with a cast aluminium swingarm forming the rear end of the frame.
As for the suspension, the motorcycle uses a retuned 3 mm KYB AOS-II USD forks, and the rear uses an Öhlins TTX36 monoshock with an external reservoir and adjustable compression/rebound damping and spring preload.
