2027 Maserati Lineup: New GranTurismo, GranCabrio & Grecale Revealed

Maserati has given its entire core lineup a shot of espresso. The 2027 GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale get sharper looks and a more powerful Nettuno V6 engine.

The year 2026 is a significant one for Maserati. The Italian marque is celebrating 100 years of its iconic Trident logo, and is now also using the occasion to give three of its models a substantial mid-cycle refresh.

The 2027 Maserati GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale arrive with sharper styling, revised interiors, improved technology, and more power from the brand’s signature Nettuno V6 engine. The goal is to strengthen Maserati’s position in the luxury performance segment while preserving the ingredients that have always defined the brand.

Elements like the signature Italian design, grand touring comfort, and an engine note capable of making even a morning commute feel like a lap of Monza still remain.

What’s New Across The 2027 Maserati Range?

The biggest updates shared across the three models include:

  • Sharper front-end styling inspired by the MCPura and GT2 Stradale
  • Revised interiors with new steering wheels and controls
  • Updated digital interfaces and graphics
  • Improved electric driving range for Folgore models
  • Expanded personalisation through Maserati Fuoriserie
  • More powerful Nettuno V6 engines

2027 Maserati GranCabrio

The refreshed design language traces its roots back to the MCXtrema track car before making its way through the GT2 Stradale and MCPura. The result is a noticeably more aggressive front fascia with wider air intakes, stronger horizontal elements, and improved aerodynamic efficiency.

2027 Maserati GranTurismo And GranCabrio: What Has Changed?

The GranTurismo and GranCabrio remain the purest expressions of Maserati’s grand touring philosophy, combining genuine four-seat practicality with serious performance. For 2027, both receive a redesigned front bumper featuring:

  • New aerodynamic air curtains
  • Boundary-layer airflow management channels
  • Revised front splitter
  • New rear light lenses
  • Optional gloss-black Tridente wheels
  • 10mm wider front track with specific wheel options

The interiors receive equally meaningful updates. A new motorsport-inspired steering wheel features flat upper and lower sections, while the Maserati Digital Clock has been redesigned with an octagonal shape, a metal bezel, and updated graphics. The gear selector has been updated with premium metals, and the screens feature completely redesigned graphics.

Tech highlights include:

  • 12.3-inch central infotainment display
  • 8.8-inch comfort display
  • 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Head-up display
  • New driver fatigue and distraction monitoring system

The GranCabrio also gains additional comfort features, including an Air Neck Warmer as standard on Trofeo and Folgore models. Maserati has even expanded Fuoriserie personalisation to the fabric roof itself, giving buyers even more opportunities to spend money creatively.

The Nettuno V6 Now Produces 590hp

One of the biggest mechanical upgrades comes under the bonnet. Maserati’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 now produces up to 590hp in Trofeo specification, an increase of 40hp over the previous version. Enough to push the GranTurismo Trofeo to over 320km/h. Pretty fast for a GT.

The engine continues to use Maserati’s patented Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion technology, known internally as MTC (Maserati Twin Combustion). Buyers can still choose the lower-output 490hp version, but the Trofeo now sits much closer to supercar territory than traditional grand tourer.

Complementing the extra power are recalibrated engine and transmission mappings, and revised driving modes. You now get the Sportivo exhaust system as standard equipment on the Trofeo trim, so your drives will sound glorious.

What Are The Updates On The 2027 GranTurismo Folgore?

While the V6 continues to grab headlines, Maserati hasn’t forgotten its electric flagship. The GranTurismo Folgore retains its tri-motor setup. Here are a few highlights:

  • Capable of 1,200hp boosts
  • 760hp is continuously available
  • Torque vectoring across the dual-motor rear axle
  • 800-volt electrical architecture

Power comes from a 92.5kWh battery pack featuring a unique “T-bone” layout that allows the car to maintain a remarkably low roofline.

The numbers remain impressive:

  • GranTurismo Folgore top speed: 325km/h
  • GranCabrio Folgore top speed: 290km/h
  • Range: More than 540km (GranTurismo Folgore)

A new energy management system improves efficiency, while AWD Disconnect technology can physically disengage the front axle in just 500 milliseconds to maximise range and reduce energy consumption. The Folgore also gains a Performance Optimizer in Corsa mode, capable of delivering up to 10% additional power when conditions allow.

The Maserati Grecale Gets A New V6 Variant

The Grecale receives perhaps the most important powertrain update of the entire range. For the first time, Maserati is introducing a new 390hp V6 version derived from the Nettuno engine, slotting between the four-cylinder models and the full-bore Trofeo.

The new engine delivers substantially stronger low-end performance, producing around 32% more torque at 2,000rpm than the existing 2.0-litre powertrain.

2027 Maserati Grecale

The updated Grecale lineup now consists of:

  • Grecale (250hp mild hybrid)
  • Grecale Modena (330hp mild hybrid)
  • Grecale V6 (390hp)
  • Modena V6 (390hp)
  • Trofeo V6 (530hp)
  • Folgore EV (550hp)

At the top of the range, the Trofeo V6 remains one of the quickest SUVs in its class.

What Are The Design Changes On The New Maserati Grecale

Visually, the Grecale adopts the same design direction as the GranTurismo and GranCabrio. The front fascia now appears wider and lower thanks to a more horizontal layout, while the “shark nose” treatment has become even more pronounced.

Other changes include:

  • New front bumpers
  • Revised grilles
  • New side air curtains
  • New 20-inch Asteria wheels or 21-inch Crono wheels
  • New Grigio Lamiera Shiny paint finish

2027 Maserati Grecale

Inside, the cabin receives similar updates to the GranTurismo family. Notable features include:

  • New octagonal steering wheel
  • Redesigned digital clock
  • Haptic gear buttons
  • 12.3-inch Ultra HD MIA infotainment display
  • Reconfigurable head-up display
  • Sonus faber audio system: Up to 21 speakers and 1,285W

Better Range For The Grecale Folgore

Maserati has also improved the Grecale Folgore’s efficiency. The electric SUV already offered up to 580km of range, but aerodynamic refinements, new tyre technology, and updated software now push that figure even further.

According to Maserati:

  • Range increases by 9km on 20-inch wheels
  • Range increases by up to 53km on 21-inch wheels

The increased efficiency comes courtesy of a new Active Grille Shutter system, improved airflow management, and revised energy management algorithms.

A Stronger Identity For Maserati’s Future

The 2027 updates are significant both for the cars and for the Maserati brand. Beyond the styling tweaks and extra horsepower, Maserati is clearly working to create a more cohesive family of vehicles.

The sharper front-end design, improved digital experience, and expanded Nettuno V6 offerings give the range a stronger identity while preserving the character that sets Maserati apart from its German rivals.

More importantly, they remind enthusiasts that while luxury brands increasingly chase screens, software, and subscriptions, Maserati is still willing to talk about exhaust notes, engine character, and driving feel. That’s the right direction, Maserati! We concur.
