Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Launched in the UAE: Engine, Features and Price
Al-Futtaim Toyota announced the arrival of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in the United Arab Emirates on 12 October 2026. Adding to the Land Cruiser 300, Land Cruiser 70, and Land Cruiser Prado range, the new SUV combines a compact size, ladder-frame chassis, and four-wheel drive.
The Land Cruiser FJ comes with five seats, a spacious interior, flexible boot space, and advanced driver-assistance technologies.
What engine and drive technology does the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ have?
The Land Cruiser FJ has a 2.7-litre petrol engine that produces 164 BHP and 245 Nm of torque. The engine is fitted with a six-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time four-wheel-drive system.
The vehicle has a ladder-type frame chassis, extra braces, and high-tensile steel bodywork. The suspension consists of front double wishbones and a rigid rear axle.
Its off-road assist features include an electronic rear differential lock ,and hill-start and downhill-assist controls that enhance the driving experience.
What are its physical features?
The vehicle measures 4,610 mm long and 1,855 mm wide, with a 2,580 mm wheelbase and a turning circle radius of 5.5 metres.
External features include U-shaped headlamps, flared wheel arches, a spare tyre mounted at the back, roof rails, and side steps. The vehicle comes in five monotone colours: White Pearl, Ash, Black, Bronze, and Smoky Blue.
The EXR trim level has 17-inch alloy wheels, while the GXR model has 18-inch alloy wheels.
How functional is the interior?
The interior holds five passengers in two rows. The second row has a 60:40 split, allowing the seats to slide, recline, and fold to accommodate passengers and luggage.
Luggage space is 765 litres with the rear seats up and 1,522 litres with the seats folded down. Maximum cargo space measures 1,480 mm.
The dashboard has a horizontal design, with controls strategically placed for easy access and a lowered instrument cluster to improve front visibility.
What safety and infotainment features are available?
The GXR model comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3, which incorporates the Pre-Collision Safety System and Lane Departure Alert. It also includes the Panoramic View Monitor and Blind Spot Monitor to help you manoeuvre and detect other cars in surrounding areas.
Both the EXR and GXR models have the 12.3-inch multimedia screen with wireless Apple CarPlay. However, equipment varies by grade and can be confirmed with authorised dealers.
