Japanese luxury automaker, Lexus has recently unveiled the 2024 Lexus UX 300h in the UAE. This new compact luxury SUV adds to the Lexus’ lineup of hybrid SUVs alongside the RXh and NXh models.
Hybrid powertrain: 196 horses, 24 km/L & shift-by-wire technology
The UX 300h is the first Lexus vehicle equipped with the advanced 5th generation Lexus Hybrid System. Under its hood lies a robust inline 4-cylinder 2.0-litre gasoline engine, seamlessly integrated with two motor-generators via a planetary-type continuously variable transmission. With an output of 196 horsepower, the UX 300h is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.0 seconds while also being capable of achieving a claimed fuel economy figure of 24 km/L. The vehicle’s 60-cell battery is cleverly positioned beneath the rear seat to optimize storage space and the introduction of shift-by-wire technology further enhances its driving experience.
Exterior & interior: Iconic spindle grille and sculpted body; 11 colour options
Externally, the UX 300h exudes Lexus’s signature design language, featuring the recognisable spindle grille, arrowhead headlamp design, and distinctive L-shaped lighting signature. Its sculpted contours and flared fenders contribute to a dynamic and sporty stance, complemented by the striking “Unique Aero Stabilizing Blade Lights” adorned with 120 LEDs that stretches across the whole width of the rear. Available in 11 captivating exterior colors, including the eye-catching Sonic Copper paint, and offered with wheel sizes ranging from 17 to 18 inches, the UX 300h allows for personalization to suit individual preferences.
Inside, the UX 300h boasts a refined interior with a redesigned button layout on the doors and elegant chrome-finished ornamentation. Connectivity features abound, with four USB-C ports, a USB-A port, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Lexus Connect App, and the latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.
F SPORT variant: 18-inch wheels, 12.3-inch instrument display & 10-spkr sound system
The F SPORT variant introduces additional exterior and interior enhancements, such as unique wheels, grille, and sports seats, available in a striking black and red color scheme. The cabin is equipped with modern amenities, including a larger 12.3-inch instrument display for the F SPORT model and an 8-inch display for the Premier variant. The F SPORT also comes with a 10-speaker Lexus sound system, instead of 6.
Pricing & warranty: Starts at AED 170,000 & 4 year/100,000 km coverage
Pricing for the 2024 Lexus UX 300h starts at AED 170,000, offering discerning consumers a luxurious yet eco-friendly driving experience with the latest in hybrid technology and premium features. While the F SPORT model starts at AED 185,000. As per the Lexus.ae website, the warranty will cover “a period of 4 years / 100,000 kilometres (whichever comes first)”
