Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer Edition, a limited-production model drawing inspiration from iconic British cafe racers of the 1960s. Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, this exclusive variant will be restricted to just 800 units worldwide.

The 2026 Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer is a special-edition motorcycle from Triumph, with production limited to 800 units globally.  The motorcycle blends retro cafe racer aesthetics from the  60s with the Speed Twin 1200 RS’s performance.

 What inspired its design?

The motorcycle features a retro-inspired Cafe Racer design from the 1960s, with elegant lines and stance – evident in clip-on handlebars for a tucked-in riding position, a streamlined brown bullet single seat design with a removable cowl, deleted pillion pegs, and cafe racer-inspired bar-end mirrors.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition’s classical design is further complemented by an exclusive British racing-inspired colour scheme, which pairs Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paintwork, with contrasting Aluminium Silver wheels and a colour-matched Competition Green headlight bowl.

How’s the chassis and suspension?

Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is based on the Speed Twin RS motorcycle, sharing similar cycle parts and components, such as the incorporation of fully adjustable Marzocchi 43mm USD forks with 120mm travel, Öhlins rear RSUs with 123mm travel, suspended to a Tubular steel cradle frame with aluminium swingarm, Riding on the 7-spoke cast aluminum wheels with Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires offering a razor sharp handling and response.

Braking duties are taken care of by Brembo Stylema M4.30 callipers on twin 320mm front discs, Nissin on 220mm rear with cornering ABS.

The 2026 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition inherits the full electronics suite from the Speed Twin 1200 RS. Featuring a compact circular dial that houses an LCD TFT display supporting turn-by-turn navigation and phone connectivity.

On the electronic aids, Riders can choose from three riding modes—Road, Rain, and Sport, which adjust throttle mapping along with ABS and traction control intervention supported by ride-by-wire throttle, while lean-sensitive Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control enhance stability through corners.

What powers the Triumph Speed Twin Cafe Racer Edition?

Powering the 2026 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer Edition is a high-compression 1200cc liquid-cooled, 8-valve SOHC parallel-twin engine featuring a distinctive 270-degree firing order mated to a slick 6-speed gearbox. It delivers 103hp of peak power at 7,770 rpm and a maximum torque of 112 N · m peaking at 4,250 rpm, ensuring a strong low-end pull for urban blast.

The exhaust system further adds to the audio and visual aesthetic of the motorcycle with twin brushed stainless steel megaphone silencers that enhance the throaty soundtrack of1200cc parallel twin engine.
