Usually, when car manufacturer officials decide to revamp a model, they modify its exterior design slightly to distinguish it visually from the old model. Then, if they want to enhance this product improvement process, they modify its mechanical components, increasing its power by a reasonable percentage that does not exceed 50 horsepower at most.
But Porsche’s officials did increase the Taycan GTS’s power by 100 horsepower compared to the previous model. The full power available to the car now is 690 horsepower, which is available when activating the over-boost feature with the Sport Chrono package, which includes the push-to-overtake function.

Thanks to this additional power, the car can now accelerate from zero to 100kmph in 3.1 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds faster than before. To compensate for the absence of the roaring engine’s exciting sound, Porsche has added an artificial sound system called Electric Sport Sound to the car to enhance the levels of excitement inside.
Being the first electric car from a manufacturer well known for its sporty spirit enhanced by a driving experience that pulsates with excitement, the Taycan sparked widespread controversy upon its launch and divided followers between supporters and opponents, but both parties agreed on one thing indicating that the Taycan is the most elegant and exciting family car from Porsche, especially since it carries lines primarily inspired by the legendary design language of the 911 model that summarises the heritage of the German manufacturer, but this is focused more on the sedan variants of the car, while the Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo variants sacrifice some of this excitement in favour of more practicality, while the Cross Turismo variants focus more on off-road capabilities and practicality with a trunk that can accommodate a respectable amount of luggage, a relatively higher ground clearance and protection for the wheel arches, the Sport Turismo categories maintain the spacious trunk but with a clearance similar to the other Taycan.

Today, the Taycan 4 is also available in sedan form after being exclusively available in Cross Turismo form. It now has 402 hp with the standard battery and 429 hp with the upgraded package. It takes 4.4 seconds to reach 100kmph, which is 0.1 seconds less than the rear-wheel-drive model.
Under certain conditions, the Taycan 4 can operate in rear-wheel drive mode by automatically disengaging the front motor for greater efficiency. When needed, the front axle comes back to life in fractions of a second. Adaptive air suspension, matrix LED headlights, and a 10-speaker sound system are also standard, even in the standard trim.
