The New Porsche 911 Turbo S: A Super Sports Car With Innovative Hybrid Capabilities

The new Porsche 911 Turbo S represents the pinnacle of performance and technology in the world of luxury sports cars. It’s the most powerful production 911 to date, powered by an innovative hybrid powertrain that delivers 711 hp, making it faster and more efficient than ever.

The car benefits from a newly developed T-Hybrid drivetrain, which uses two electric turbochargers assisted by exhaust gas, delivering a faster response and a significant increase in power allowing the car to accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds.

Despite the additional technology, the car weighs only 85 kg more than its predecessor, thanks to the use of lightweight materials and an intelligent hybrid system based on a 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery.

Porsche focused not only on power, but also on overall improved handling. On the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife, the new 911 Turbo S recorded a time of 7:03.92 minutes, 14 seconds faster than its predecessor—a significant achievement in the world of sports cars. This performance is attributed to an improved suspension, intelligent power distribution via the all-wheel drive, and a new chassis that enhances agility and stability in corners.

Porsche adopted a new approach to aerodynamic design; active air intakes, a movable rear wing, and a front diffuser contribute to enhanced stability, cooling, and overall performance. This system helps reduce air resistance by up to 10 percent compared to the previous model and improves braking performance in wet conditions by automatically closing the front diffusers.

The car is equipped with the most extensive PCCB brake system ever for a two-door Porsche, with discs measuring 420 mm and 410 mm in diameter at the front and rear, respectively. The wide tyres, measuring 325/30 ZR 21 at the rear and 255/35 ZR 20 at the front, provide greater stability, offering improved grip on both dry and wet roads.

This model adopts Porsche’s Turbo design strategy with special accents in the unique Turbonite colour, visible on the car badges, wheels, and exterior elements such as the rear light bar and titanium tailpipes. Inside, these accents extend to the dashboard, steering wheel, seatbelts, and premium stitching. The car is offered with 18-way adjustable sports seats, a fully integrated infotainment system, and HD Matrix LED headlights with advanced lighting technology.

For those seeking exclusivity, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers countless ways to personalise your vehicle, including custom paint colours, exclusive wheels, unique interior trim, and even specially painted car keys. You can also select a lightweight carbon roof and even carbon fibre wiper arms.

For those seeking detail, Porsche offers a 911 Turbo S Chronograph watch matching the car’s design, complete with fine details such as a turbonite dial and a leather interior strap—the COSC-certified Porsche WERK 01.200 calibre powers it.
