The New Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Is Basically A Track Day Cheat Code

The aero is wilder, the suspension sharper, the lap time faster, and it looks insane. What else could you possibly want?

If the standard Porsche 911 GT3 already feels like it was engineered by caffeinated race engineers, the new Manthey Kit takes that chaos and straps on a wind-tunnel-degree in aerodynamics.

Porsche says the kit is aimed at customers who spend more time at track days than they do at home, or in traffic, and honestly, that checks out. This is not a random styling pack. This is a “We want physics to try harder” pack.

It has 540kg of downforce at 285km/h in Track Mode. That’s just outright madness. And in case the previous-gen Manthey GT3 wasn’t quick enough, this new one has already shaved 2.76 seconds off its Nürburgring Nordschleife time, clocking a ridiculous 6:52.981, on a damp track. Classic Nürburgring weather: miserable for everyone except this Porsche.

The Aerodynamics: Making Downforce A Personality Trait

The aero revisions are borderline obsessive, in true Manthey fashion. The underbody is now one giant aerodynamic slab, the turning vanes have grown a full metre (length matters, apparently), and there’s a redesigned 12mm longer lip at the front.

Then there’s the wing. Good lord, the wing! Wider span, bigger endplates, a Gurney flap, and swan-neck mounts that look like they were ripped straight off Porsche’s GT3 R race car. Add the rear wheel aerodiscs that reduce drag, and you get the kind of airflow management that would make an F1 aerodynamicist nod in respect.

Most importantly, all this extra downforce comes with zero additional drag. Porsche basically unlocked free speed like it was a cheat code in Gran Turismo.

Suspension & Brakes: Precision Engineering

Manthey and Porsche cooked up a four-way adjustable coilover suspension, allowing drivers to fine-tune rebound and compression without breaking out the tools. Spring rates are up 10% at the front, kerb-hopping stability is better, and mechanical grip is cranked up so high it almost feels like the car is trying to read the track surface like braille.

There’s also an optional forged wheel set that sheds 6kg of unsprung weight, braided steel brake lines as standard, and optional Cup 2 R-spec pads for those who plan to bully racetrack apexes.

Want Your Manthey Racing GT3 Loud?

You can kit your GT3 with illuminated sill plates, colour-matched aerodiscs, tow straps, carbon air outlets, and Manthey door decals. Basically, the full Nürburgring influencer starter pack. The only difference? This one won’t magically make you fast. You’ll need more than a GoPro, a race suit, and blind confidence to put down a proper lap.

The Nürburgring Run: Damp, Slippery, Still Silly Fast

Behind the wheel for the record lap was Ayhancan Güven, reigning DTM champion and a man who probably finds this pace “casual”. Even with damp patches and autumn leaves doing their best to sabotage things, he still pulled off a sub-6:53 tour of the Nordschleife. Manthey says they’ll go back in better weather. So watch out for a much faster time.
