The New BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Breaks Cover

Significant design changes were made to the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, which will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates more power in 2025.

The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe was revealed yesterday. It features a refreshed exterior design, a revamped cabin filled with the latest technology, and a modified powertrain that produces more horsepower. This is a product improvement over the car that was launched in 2020.

The four-door variant of the 2 Series comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which features a revised combustion architecture, a dual injection system, and a more technical solution to produce 241 horsepower in the 228 sDrive variant, and 312 horsepower in M235 xDrive.

BMW also replaced the eight-speed automatic transmission with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The M Sport Boost function also gains a new feature when equipped with the M Sport package, which sets the car’s settings for maximum acceleration, which the driver activates by pulling the gear lever to the left for one second.

The new car is 0.7 inches longer and 1.0 inches taller than the four-door coupe it replaces, while the width and wheelbase remain the same. M Sport styling is standard, with large air intakes below the kidney grille.

The company’s Adaptive M suspension is standard, but customers can have a conventional suspension setup at no extra cost. BMW has tweaked the car’s suspension, increasing wheel travel by 20 per cent to improve handling and comfort.

The Gran Coupe receives the Bavarian manufacturer’s Curved Display running BMW OS 9 inside. It also features a new gear selector, wireless charging, and a standard 12-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system.

In addition, the new car enjoys a leather-free perforated Veganza, newly designed heated sport seats, and massaging front seats, which are available for the first time.

It is worth mentioning that an attractive-looking four-door coupe in the small segment, like this car, is always more than welcome.

BMW will begin building the 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe later this year at its plant in Leipzig, Germany.
