Deloitte Private has recognised Sowind Group “as one of Switzerland’s Best Managed Companies of 2024, rewarding the private companies who have demonstrated excellence in management and sustained business growth.”

Sowind Group is also the first winner in the Swiss luxury industry, “underscoring its powerful combination of a clear and sharp strategy, along with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and identity.”

The winners in this category “have demonstrated excellence in management and sustained business growth.”  Deloitte Private’s Swiss awards is based on Deloitte’s global Best Managed Companies awards programmes, a globally recognised programme. The criteria are as follows:

– Strategy.

– Quality of Management.

– Capabilities and Innovation.

– Culture and Commitment.

– Governance and Financials.

Deloitte has 30 years of global experience in evaluating companies using these criteria.

Our Thoughts

Both Ulysse Nardin and Girard-Perregaux possess a rich heritage, horological mastery and expertise, technical accomplishments, historic designs, and iconic timepieces, to name a few aspects. Ulysee Nardin’s Freak and Girard-Perregaux’s Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges are among iconic timepieces in horology.

At The Cornea Impression, I have written about timepieces from both brands, and have been impressed by their timepieces and the direction both brands have embarked upon. Both are going through a renaissance. Several of my friends collect both Ulysee-Nardin (one has a version of the Freak) and Girard-Perregaux (timepieces from Laureato collection are a popular choice) and are quite pleased. Timepieces from both brands are frequently discussed in watch groups.

Ultimately the aspects that comprise the evaluation criteria (listed above) should translate into better products and services. In this case, better timepieces from both brands. It should not come as a surprise that Sowind Group is a winner of Deloitte Private’s Best Managed Companies award.
