Skoda Unveils The New Kodiaq RS

The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq SUV now available with More power in the RS version

Thanks to its advanced design and technical upgrades, the new Kodiaq RS is even sportier than the first generation. The all-wheel drive vehicle with DSG automatic transmission can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.3 seconds and continue accelerating until it reaches the top speed of 231kmph, thanks to the 261 hp of power delivered by the famous 2.0 TSI EVO petrol engine – 20 hp more than its predecessor.

The new Kodiaq RS has a progressive steering system and an advanced DCC+ adaptive chassis, which comes with a wide range of settings compared to the first generation. The driver can choose many other suspension and handling settings: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow. The Kodiaq RS also has a special off-road mode.

It features all the typical RS elements in gloss black, such as the grille frame, exterior mirror caps, the upper part of the window frames, and roof rails. Most importantly, it has the distinctive D-pillar bodywork that characterises the second-generation Kodiaq. Also finished in gloss black are the details on the all-new front bumper and the Skoda lettering on the fifth door.

As for the wheels, this RS variant features exclusive wheel rims: 20-inch wheels come as standard, again with a gloss black finish. The brake callipers feature a contrasting red finish. There are eight exterior colour schemes, including the eye-catching Bronx Gold Metallic.

Inside, there are two versions to choose from: RS Suedia and RS Suite. In both, customers get sports front seats with integrated headrests and contrasting red stitching. In the Suedia version, the seats are upholstered in a combination of perforated Suedia and synthetic leather, while the RS Suite features genuine leather. The dashboard and door panels are also upholstered in the version-specific material.

Other sporty details include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel (also with red stitching), steel pedal surfaces, and a black headliner. The RS logo is also proudly displayed inside the vehicle, for example, on the infotainment display.
