Restyled 2025 Kia Sorento unveiled for Middle East and Africa Region

New Kia EV9-inspired frontal view, revised taillamps and new horizontal dash design; same V6 powertrain

Kia Middle East and Africa has just introduced the newly restyled 2025 Kia Sorento which is poised to strengthen its game in the highly-competitive mid-size SUV landscape in the MENA region.

Exterior: New EV9-inspired facade; alloy sizes up to 20 inches

The refreshed Sorento boasts a revised exterior design, featuring a new radiator grille, vertical headlights, and distinctive L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), which appear to be inspired by its handsome the EV9 sibling. Its rear end showcases a novel star-map graphic linking the vertical tail lamps, again, enhancing its contemporary appeal. Furthermore, the new 2025 Sorento offers alloy wheels ranging up to 20 inches in size, some with a chic dual-tone design.

Interior: New horizontal dash layout; enhanced lighting

Inside, the Sorento’s revamped interior emphasises space with a new horizontal layout. The updated Kia infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch high-definition curved display screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch head-up display, complemented by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for those seeking seamless phone integration. Improved interior lighting with mood lamps fosters a refined ambiance, upping the premium feel.

Safety: A digital centre mirror and the whole ADAS suite.

In terms of features, the new Sorento comes equipped with a Digital Centre Mirror and advanced driver safety systems, including new driving safety (ADAS) features such as Junction Turning, Junction Crossing, Lane-change Oncoming, Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist, and 360-degree parking sensors.

Powertrain: Same naturally aspirated 3.5L V6

Powering the restyled 2025 Kia Sorento is the tried-and-tested, naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 engine capable of churning out 268 horsepower and 331 Nm of torque, which is suitable for both daily commutes and long hauls.

The 2025 Kia Sorento SUV is now available at Kia showrooms across the region.

Honda Middle East and Africa celebrates 30 successful years in the region

On September 11th 2024, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) hosted a special event at The Taj Exotica & Spa, at The Palm Dubai to celebrate its 30 successful years in the region. The Japanese carmaker invited select media representatives from the GCC and North Africa regions as a mark of gratitude. The Cornea Impression was invited for the same too. The brand further showcased its diverse product lineup at the event comprising not just automobile and motorcycle offerings but products in the marine and business segments as well. Honda also took advantage of the wider media to showcase the all-new BF350, incorporating Honda’s first V8 engine.

Mr Rajvinder Johal, General Manager, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) spoke about Honda’s new Global Brand Slogan, evolving from “The Power of Dreams” to “Power of Dreams: HOW WE MOVE YOU” which encapsulates both physical mobility and emotional engagement. This was followed by a keynote speech by Mr Anup Ravindranath, Senior General Manager, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) who spoke about the future roadmap of Honda in the region and teased the Honda ‘0’ series of electric vehicles showcased at CES earlier this year. He further emphasized on safety being regarded as top priority in Honda’s books with the goal of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles worldwide by 2050.
