Range Rover Sport Starts Local Production in India

Jaguar Land Rover India has commenced deliveries of the locally manufactured Range Rover Sport. The new model, available in both petrol and diesel variants, is priced at ₹140 lakh (ex-showroom).

Built on the MLA-Flex platform, the Range Rover Sport offers a blend of performance, luxury, and technology. The vehicle’s distinctive design, featuring short overhangs and large wheels, emphasizes its athletic stance. Advanced features such as Dynamic Air Suspension, Pre-emptive Air Suspension, and Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control enhance its on and off-road capabilities.

The interior is characterised by a minimalist yet luxurious design, with a focus on spaciousness and technology. The 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered by Pivi Pro, offers intuitive control over various vehicle functions. The Cabin Air Purification Pro system ensures a clean and healthy cabin environment.

Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, expressed his enthusiasm for the commencement of local production, highlighting the company’s commitment to the Indian market. With the addition of the Range Rover Sport, Jaguar Land Rover now manufactures six models locally, demonstrating its confidence in the Indian automotive market.

The local production of the Range Rover Sport is expected to boost the company’s presence in India and cater to the growing demand for luxury SUVs in the country.
