Qatar Airways Now has a Stronger Codeshare with Kenya Airways

The airlines will launch codeshare services to 19 destinations starting October 26, 2025, with tickets going on sale today.

Details of the agreement

Kenya Airways customers can book codeshare flights between Nairobi and Doha and onwards to 10 destinations via Hamad International Airport. Qatar Airways customers gain access to eight destinations in Kenya Airways’ network through three daily Doha–Nairobi flights. Codeshare services are set to start on October 26, 2025, and ticket sales will begin today, coinciding with the launch of Qatar Airways’ direct flights to the 12th destination in Saudi Arabia.

Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, said the expansion shows rapid progress since the partnership began and strengthens Qatar Airways’ presence in Kenya and across Africa. Julius Thairu, Kenya Airways’ Chief Commercial and Customer Officer, said the tie-up will improve connectivity across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, offering customers more destination choices and easier connections.

Partnership highlights

Qatar Airways will offer passengers access to Kenyan gateways, including Lilongwe, Livingstone, Juba, Nampula, Ndola, and Victoria Falls. Kenya Airways customers can connect via Hamad International to destinations such as Bahrain, Colombo, Islamabad, Karachi, Malé, Singapore, and Tokyo Narita. Hamad International has been recognised consistently as a leading airport in the region.

Benefits and next steps

Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will earn Avios on Kenya Airways-operated codeshares. The two carriers will continue to collaborate on codeshares, airport operations, lounges, sustainability, and procurement, with future cooperation planned on network development, cargo, and aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
