Qatar Airways announces more flights on these routes this winter

Three new destinations have been added to the list of cities where the carrier has scheduled increased flights for the winter season.

Doha-headquartered Qatar Airways has announced a schedule that will make its winter season busier still. After confirming increased flights to several global destinations earlier this year, the airline has added three more. These are Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, and Shanghai. As a result, Qatar Airways is offering almost 3,000 additional flights this year.

In what capacity has the airline planned the increase in flights to the newly announced trio? Here’s the plan:

  • Kuala Lumpur: From December 17, 2025, three additional flights will take the count to 17 per week, resulting in smoother connections between Southeast Asia and Jeddah, London, and Paris via Doha.
  • Lagos: Between December 15, 2025, and March 28, 2026, Qatar Airways will operate 14 weekly flights to Lagos, up from 10. The added services will provide flexibility for further connections via Hamad International Airport to more than 170 destinations worldwide, including Delhi, Guangzhou, and London.
  • Shanghai: For about 3 months, from January 1 to March 28, 2026, Qatar Airways is offering 10 weekly flights to Shanghai instead of 7. The expanded schedule will improve connectivity between Asia and the airline’s destinations across Algiers, São Paulo, and Warsaw.

In addition, select Qatar Airways flights to Singapore starting January 12, 2026, will use Airbus A380 aircraft, offering more seating capacity and an enhanced flying experience. The airline recently announced that it has become the first in the world to equip more than 100 widebody jets with Starlink, which offers speeds of up to 500 Mbps per aircraft.
