Porsche Macan GTS Electric Revealed: First Public Viewing At Icons Of Porsche 2025 Next Month

Last year, Porsche electrified the Macan, and now it’s put the GTS badge on it. That only means one thing — it’s properly fast!

The Porsche Macan Electric launched in 2024 and it’s already outselling its petrol-powered twin in key markets. This new Macan GTS is the spicy arrival — Porsche’s first high-performance electric SUV, taking the brand’s beloved GTS formula into the volt-age era.

Historically, the GTS trims have been the sweet spot for the Cayenne and Macan. Focused on driving pleasure, with proper bite added in for good measure. Now, it’s plugged in. The first public viewing is set to take place at Icons of Porsche in Dubai on 22–23 November 2025. And in case you’re wondering what’s next: Cayenne Electric is almost production-ready. It is Porsche’s first full-size electric SUV, and it’s shaping up to be super impressive.

Performance — Borrowed Muscle With GTS Attitude

The GTS borrows the most powerful rear motor from the Macan Turbo electric and pairs it with an e-AWD setup. You get 509hp as standard, which goes up to 563hp on overboost, and if you think that’s impressive, wait for the torque figure — a meaty 955Nm.

That translates to 0–100km/h in 3.8 seconds, 0–200 in 13.3 seconds, and a 250km/h top end. That’s quick enough to make a 911 GT3 owner squint at the spec sheet. Launch Control comes baked in via the Sport Chrono Package, and there’s a Track mode that ups battery cooling to hold power under repeated abuse.

Chassis & Feel — Rear Bias With Real Bite

Porsche claims this is the lowest-centre-of-gravity Macan Electric yet. The 10mm drop in ride height combined with the sports air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management and, GTS-specific damper/anti-roll tuning to deliver exceptional handling characteristics.

The rear end is taut, thanks to Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and an electronically controlled rear diff tucked right behind the motor for a 48:52 rear bias. Steering nerds can tick rear-axle steering for extra rotation. And because theatre matters, Porsche Electric Sport Sound gives the GTS exclusive sound profiles in Sport and Sport Plus.

Range, Charging & Everyday Stuff

Under the floor sits a 100kWh pack good for up to 586km WLTP if you’re gentle. When you’re not, a 270kW DC fast-charger can take you from 10–80% in about 21 minutes. Transmission gearing is beefed up to handle the extra torque, and the SiC 900-amp inverter keeps the electrons efficient at full send. Driving back home after a full-send track day? Looks like the Macan GTS has got that bit covered.

Design & Interior — Classic GTS

At first glance, it’s clearly a GTS, featuring Black accents, tinted Matrix LEDs, and chunkier side skirts that widen as they sweep rearward. It rides on 21-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Grey, with 22-inch RS Spyder Design available if you must flex. A Sport Design Package debuts here and rolls out to other Macans later.

Colours? Crayon (Chalk) returns, Carmine Red stays loud, and Lugano Blue is the newbie. Inside, it’s Race-Tex everywhere, with smooth-leather bolsters. The GTS Interior Package adds contrast stitching, belts, and GTS logos to match the exterior colour, plus you get carbon trim where it counts.

The Macan GTS slots between the 4S and Turbo — the zone for people who care about apex speeds and school runs equally. US orders are open, priced around the $103k (AED 378,300) mark, a whisker under the Turbo and right in the crosshairs of every premium EV SUV that claims to be “sporty.” See it in person at Icons of Porsche and prepare for the upcoming Cayenne Electric to turn the wick up one more notch.
