In a world where hypercars chase milliseconds with digital trickery and paddle shifters, Pagani has gone in the opposite direction, towards purity, soul, and mechanical engagement. The Pagani Huayra Epitome, revealed in July 2024, is a one-of-a-kind creation that breaks away from the norm. It’s the only one ever built with a manual gearbox. The Pagani Imola, on the other hand, is a tribute to one of the most aggressive racetracks in history.
And now, these two engineering and design masterpieces are all set to fly Pagani’s flag high at two of the most prestigious automotive events of 2025: Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and FuoriConcorso.
A Return to Lake Como With Something Truly Special
From May 23 to 25, the serene shores of Lake Como will come alive with the sound of engines and the sight of some of the most gorgeous cars ever created. For the 2025 edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Pagani returns with a showstopper. After the Huayra Codalunga’s victorious appearance in 2023, the Italian marque is back to compete in the “Concept Cars & Prototypes” category, this time with the Huayra Epitome.
On Sunday, May 25, enthusiasts attending the Public Day – Il Festival at Villa Erba will get the rare opportunity to see this masterpiece up close. Meanwhile, just a few kilometers away at Villa del Grumello, Pagani will also be part of FuoriConcorso, an event that leans into the bold, the young, and the unconventional. On display there will be the Pagani Imola, a track-bred titan sharing its DNA with the Epitome.
Huayra Epitome – A One-Off Work Of Art
The Cambridge dictionary defines the word ‘Epitome’ as “The typical or highest example of a stated quality, as shown by a particular person or thing.” The Huayra Epitome is as exemplary as the word would let it be, if not higher.
Let’s be clear — this isn’t just another hypercar with some extra carbon fiber. The Huayra Epitome is a one-of-a-kind car, created for a visionary client who wanted to blend Pagani’s design mastery with the raw, analogue experience of a gated manual gearbox. That makes this the only Huayra ever to feature a manual transmission, making it instantly legendary in Pagani’s lineage.

Under the hood is an AMG-derived 6.0-litre twin-tubo V12, pushing out 864hp at 6,000 rpm and 1,100Nm between 2,250 and 4,500rpm. This is paired with a 7-speed manual gearbox. A unique button on the center console allows the driver to open the exhaust valves, dramatically transforming the engine note from a deep rumble to an unfiltered symphony that hits just the right high notes. Every line and vent on the Huayra Epitome was sculpted in close collaboration with the client.
Visually, the Epitome stands apart with:
-
Custom front and rear bumpers
-
Bespoke lighting clusters
-
A redesigned rear hood with enlarged air ducts
-
An integrated wing that adds downforce and aggression
Pagani Imola – Pure Italian Motorsport Genes
While the Epitome channels the purity of driving, the Pagani Imola represents the other end of the spectrum — a relentless pursuit of speed. Only five units of the Imola exist in the world. Named after the holy grail of racetracks in Italy, it’s a hypercar engineered for the racetrack but legal for the road.

The Mercedes-AMG V12 in the Imola produces 827hp, and the car weighs a featherlight 1,246kg thanks to its carbon composite chassis and special Acquarello Light paint, which alone cuts five kilograms off the weight.
The active aero system is where the magic happens. With four movable flaps, the Imola adjusts its aerodynamic profile in real time based on braking, acceleration, and cornering.
Grandi Complicazioni – The Birthplace Of The Extraordinary
Both the Epitome and Imola were born from Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division—a name inspired by the world of haute horlogerie, where Grand Complications are the most intricate and exclusive watches in existence.
At Pagani, Grandi Complicazioni represents a sacred space for one-off builds and ultra-limited series. It’s where artistry and obsession meet, where boundaries of customization are shattered. No two cars are ever alike. Every screw, every stitch, every weave of carbon fiber is tailored for the individual.
The Concorso & FuoriConcorso: Celebrating The Past, Present, and Future
The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is no ordinary car show. It’s where automotive royalty gathers to pay tribute to the machines that defined generations. This event has showcased everything from pre-war icons to the most avant-garde concept cars.
In contrast, FuoriConcorso offers a modern twist. It’s edgy, youthful, and experimental. Here, cars aren’t just admired for their past, but also celebrated for challenging the future. It’s the perfect setting for a car like the Imola, with its track-tested brutality and futuristic tech.
