What is the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date “Bullseye”?
Oris first unveiled the “concentric two-tone “Bullseye” dial” design in the 1920s. Extremely popular from the 1940s until the 1970s, it made its last appearance in Oris’s catalogue in 1998. Oris has revived this design using the Big Crown Pointer Date; a reference introduced for pilots in 1938.
What are its dial features?

It features a cool grey and black concentric “Bullseye” dial. The hands, Arabic numerals, and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova. Red details – such as the tip of the Pointer Date hand, and date ring numerals on the outer dial – contrast beautifully with the rest of the dial.
Is it powered by an automatic movement?

It is powered by Oris calibre 754-1, an automatic movement that drives the hours, minutes, seconds with a stop-seconds function, and instantaneous date. All operations are via the crown. Key features: Diameter 25.60 mm or 11 ½ lignes. Jewels: 26. Frequency 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve 41 hours.
What is the case made from?

Its multi-piece case is made from stainless steel, and features a fluted bezel and oversized crown. It measures 38 mm (diameter) * 12.20 mm (thickness). It has a lug-to-lug distance of 45.50 mm and lug width of 19 mm. Dial side features a sapphire crystal, domed on both sides, with anti-reflective coating on the inside. Stainless steel caseback is screwed to the case and features a mineral glass. Water resistant up to 5 bar.
What does the Cervo Volante strap signify for the brand?
It is fitted to a black Cervo Volante strap made from sustainable deer leather. Cervo Volante is a Swiss company that manufactures leather straps and accessories from sustainably sourced deer leather. Oris “walks the talk” when it comes to sustainability, and offering this watch with a Cervo Volante strap reaffirms this.
