For those who are unaware, Air Canada confirmed thirteen new routes to Latin America earlier this year. To further strengthen its presence in the region during the upcoming winter period, the Canadian flag carrier has announced the return of one and the addition of three new destinations.
Lima is back!
Air Canada will reintroduce Lima, Peru, to its winter schedule. It’ll operate two weekly flights from Montreal and Toronto. Starting December 5, the Toronto-Lima route goes live with flight AC 86 departing from Toronto at 22:10 and arriving in Lima at 06:10 the next day. This sector will run on Tuesdays and Fridays. The return service, bearing flight number AC 87, will leave from the capital of Peru at 08:00 and land in Toronto at 15:55 on Thursdays and Sundays. The last flight connecting the two cities will be on March 27, 2026.
The Montreal-Lima link will be established on December 6. The outbound service, AC 88, will leave Montreal and arrive in Lima at 18:00 and 02:15 the next day, respectively. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board Air Canada’s flight AC 89, which departs from Lima at 08:00 and lands in Montreal at 16:20. Air Canada will operate this route on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Under the radar, sunny escapes to Central America
Canada’s national airline confirms three new destinations across Central America for its winter schedule: Belize, Puerto Escondido, and Tepic, Riviera Nayarit. All three destinations will be served once weekly. Air Canada will link Belize with Montreal, with the outbound flight, AC 1876, departing from the Canadian city at 17:45 and landing in Belize at 22:05 on Mondays. The return leg, AC 1877, will start and conclude its journey at 11:00 and 16:40, respectively, on Tuesdays. This route will operate between December 8 and April 6, 2026.
