Novitec Spofec Supercharges The Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge

700hp, forged wheels, new aero elements, and better suspension for the Ghost.

Rolls-Royce may have engineered the Ghost Series II Black Badge to be the most “audacious and technical” model in its ultra-luxury portfolio, but German refinement powerhouse Novitec believes there was still headroom left in power, presence, acoustics, and attitude.

Their newly unveiled Spofec program for the Ghost Series II Black Badge doesn’t disturb the aristocratic soul of the V12 titan. Instead, it sharpens its edges with bespoke craftsmanship.

The result? A 2.6-tonne luxury sanctuary that now surges forward with nearly 700 horsepower, sits lower and meaner on massive forged wheels, and whispers or roars depending on the mood of its driver.

6.7L V12 Polished To Perfection

Novitec’s upgrades start under that vast bonnet housing the 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12. Through recalibrated engine management and a revised boost strategy, the Spofec module elevates the Ghost’s output from 592hp to 696hp, while torque climbs from 874Nm in stock form to 1,002Nm after tuning.

That’s an increase substantial enough to make a perceptible difference even in a car that weighs as much as a light tank. In fact, the Spofec Ghost now dispatches 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, nearly shaving half a second off the factory figure, all while maintaining the 250 km/h electronically limited top end to preserve refinement and tyre longevity.

The tuning is delivered through the Spofec N-TRONIC control module, a sophisticated plug-and-play brain that rewrites injection and ignition maps and gently increases boost pressure. Crucially, Novitec ensures this newfound aggression never disrupts the inherently silky, almost liquid power delivery Rolls-Royce engines are known for.

Adding emotional depth to the mechanical enhancement is the Spofec stainless steel exhaust system with active butterfly valves. With a simple command from the cabin, owners can go from quiet perfection to unleashing a deep V12 growl,  the kind of sonorous rumble enthusiasts crave, but Rolls-Royce would never dare deliver from the factory.

Sharper Dynamics

For a car famous for gliding rather than attacking corners, the Ghost Black Badge already displays impressive agility. Novitec builds on that foundation with a 35–40 mm suspension drop courtesy of the CAN-Tronic ride-control system.

The module works seamlessly with the factory air suspension, lowering the vehicle at speeds below 140 km/h. Beyond that, the system returns the Ghost to its standard height for aerodynamic stability and ride composure.

New Aero Elements & Wheels

Novitec has equipped the sedan with 22-inch forged Spofec SP3 wheels, developed in collaboration with renowned U.S. wheel specialists Vossen. These giant rims maintain the signature self-levelling Rolls-Royce centre caps, a detail purists will appreciate.

Although Rolls-Royce vehicles seldom chase downforce figures, Novitec’s Spofec aero package has been engineered with genuine functional benefits. The redesigned front fascia, featuring enlarged air intakes, subtly reduces front-axle lift and improves intercooler airflow. In side profile, carbon fibre rocker panels visually stretch the silhouette, giving the Ghost a more planted look.

At the rear, owners can specify a new bumper panel with or without integrated exhaust cutouts, paired with a new trunk-lid lip spoiler.

An Interior That Becomes Your Signature

Inside, Novitec offers virtually limitless personalisation. From custom leathers and piping to bespoke colour palettes and wheel finishes, the Ghost becomes a canvas for individual expression.

The Black Badge Series II cabin already includes noteworthy innovations. Novitec builds atop this craftsmanship, ensuring no two Spofec Ghosts will ever be alike.
