Newly revamped 2025 Kia Sonet crossover SUV introduced for the Middle East; Prices start at AED 67,000

Highlights include a redesigned grille, new 10.25″ screen & USB-C ports; while the 1.5L motor and CVT remain

Kia Middle East and Africa have announced the arrival of the newly revised Kia Sonet to help attract more customers in the region’s sub-compact SUV market.

Exterior: Redesigned front grille, new LED lamps & 16″ alloys

With the midcycle refresh comes a revamped exterior that attempts to capture more eyes with a redesigned radiator grille, striking LED headlights alongside star-map tailgate lamps and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It also receives an updated rear spoiler for a more sporty flair. The new Sonet is available in 14 different paint schemes, 6 of which are 2-tone with either a black or white roof.

Interior: 10.25″ screen, USB-C ports & 60:40 folding seats

The new Sonet hosts numerous enhancements aimed at improving the on-road experience. Key additions include a new 10.25-inch infotainment screen, new USB-C charging ports, and a practical 60:40 split-folding rear seat, adding greater comfort and versatility for passengers and luggage carrying duties. Other available features include wireless charging, 7-speaker Bose audio system and ventilated front seats. The Sonet is available with either a black interior, or a 2-tone black/beige interior with black or beige upholstery, in faux leather or fabric.

Powertrain & Safety: Same 1.5L motor & CVT; Lane Keep & Following Assists

Powering the restyled Sonet is the same 1.5L MPI engine, maintaining the same power and torque figures of the pre-facelift model i.e. 115 hp and 144 Nm, which makes the Sonet suitable urban commutes. The CVT (which Kia call Intelligent Variable Transmission) has also been retained.

The revised Sonet is equipped with advanced features such as Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning, and Lane Following Assist (LFA), thereby enhancing driver assistance and overall vehicle safety. Other available features include TPMS, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), 6 airbags and a rearview camera.

The new Kia Sonet compact SUV is on display and on purchase across Kia showrooms across the region. Prices in Dubai start at AED 67,000 and go up to AED 75,000 for the top spec model (exclusive of VAT). All Sonet crossovers come with a comprehensive 5-year/150,000 warranty.
