New TVS Apache RTX 300 Adventure Bike Launch: Specs, Price & Features

TVS steps into a new era with the Apache RTX — a motorcycle that blends Performance and versatility.

The mid-sized adventure motorcycle segment in India is booming right now. In the past few years, there’s been a stark rise in interest in Adventure motorcycles. Both newcomers and seasoned riders are now opting for a more versatile motorcycle that suits their needs.
Renowned Motorcycle brands such as KTM, Royal  Enfield, Honda, and Suzuki all have their own iterations of an Adventure motorcycle. KTM has its Adventure range, Royal Enfield with its Himalayan, Honda with its CB200X & 500X, and Suzuki with its V-storm – All doing good for their respective manufacturers.
Now, TVS has finally joined the party with its Apache RTX 300, built on TVS’s latest RT-XD4 platform, ushering the Apache line-up into new territories with rally-inspired design language and the ability to relentlessly munch miles on long-distance touring.
The new RT-XD4 engine platform incorporates TVS’s next-generation engineering approach, offering better cooling efficiency, smoother power delivery, and reduced emissions. Newly developed 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine puts out 35.5hp at 9,000rpm and 28.5 N · m of peak torque at 7,000rpm paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Incorporating dual overhead cams, a dual oil pump with a split crankcase, and a dual breather system allows the engine to perform consistently for a longer duration. Side note: this engine is also designed to support ethanol-blended fuels.
The Engine is suspended to a purpose-built Trellis frame, suspended by the WP upside-down fork and a long-travel monotube rear shock absorber, tuned to endure harsh terrains. The braking duties are handled by a 320mm radial calliper disc at the front and a 240mm floating calliper at the rear.
Apache  RTX 300 is equipped with a plethora of rider-focused features, such as four riding modes-Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally –  each mode alters engine response, traction control settings, and ABS settings. It also gets a Bi-Directional quickshifter, adjustable levers, linear traction control, and cruise control. A 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth-enabled 5-way map mirroring feature, navigation, ride data, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
The motorcycle incorporates a traditional yet stylish ADV design, such as a rally-inspired semi-fairing with an upright windshield and a wide handlebar for relaxed long-distance cruising. It also features a signature DRL blade, crystalline twin-beam headlamp, and animated lighting elements. Colour options for the Apache  RTX 300  include Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze.
Riders can choose to equip their Apache RTX 300 with a host of optional accessories like a raised beak fender, rear hugger fender, bash plate, tank guard, knuckle guards, USB phone charger, GIVI top box, and side panniers.
TVS Apache  RTX 300 ADV comes in three different trim options – a base trim which starts at Rs 1.99 lakh, a top trim at Rs 2.14 lakh, and Build to order (BTO), which allows riders to opt for an adjustable suspension and other goodies for Rs 2.29 lakh.
