The LOI (Letter of Intent) sets a framework for long-term airline collaboration, workforce development, maintenance, and innovation. It aims to boost Bahrain’s appeal as a premium destination and a hub connecting Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. In December last year, the airline also revealed its plans to establish a base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, welcomed the partnership. He noted that the signing coincided with the launch of Bahrain’s national aviation strategy, expressing optimism about beOnd aircraft under a Bahraini AOC contributing to the aviation ecosystem.
What are beOnd’s operational plans?
beOnd plans to base up to 10 premium aircraft in Bahrain by 2030, projecting a GDP contribution of USD 1.2–1.5 billion over five years. It aims to create over 1,200 high-skilled jobs and support over 6,000 indirect roles in tourism, hospitality, logistics, and related sectors.
How does this align with Bahrain’s vision?
The collaboration promotes Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 by encouraging economic diversification, private-sector growth, and the development of national talent. Training programs for pilots, crew, engineers, and ground staff will establish Bahrain as a centre for advanced aviation skills, aided by simulators and maintenance facilities.
