Infiniti Confirms Four New Models

Among them are the first two all-electric models from the Japanese carmaker.

Japanese brand Infiniti aims to electrify most of its global portfolio by 2030. To that end, it has announced four new models. One of them is a fastback sedan, while another is an SUV. The remaining two fall in the crossover category. The sedan and one of the crossovers will be solely powered by electricity.

What will become Infiniti’s first EV is the sedan mentioned above. Currently, it is in a concept form and carries the name Vision Qe. The specimen showcased next to Tokyo Bay is finished in a shade called Shadow Blue – a deep blue base garnished with gold highlights. The wheels are striking to behold, as they feature a pattern of a tightly wound coil of an electric motor. And, of course, Infiniti hasn’t skimped on using LED bars and lights to make the whole package look more dramatic. Once it gains the production-ready guise, it will be assembled at the brand’s plant in Canton, Mississippi.

Another concept vehicle showcased was the Vision QXe concept. It will claim the second spot in Infiniti’s EV portfolio. Going by the name, it could share the underpinnings and some other stuff with the Qe. However, it will do so in a crossover body style.

Moving on to the third upcoming model – the next-gen QX80. Infiniti has confirmed its all-new flagship SUV will arrive in 2024. It features design cues derived from the QX Monograph concept vehicle that was unveiled at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. And yes, the three-row format will be retained.

Lastly, an all-new model called the QX65. According to Infiniti, this vehicle is a new mid-size crossover coupe. That means buyers will have a choice between a more traditional SUV silhouette and the swoopy two-row alternative in the making.

Of the lot, which Infiniti model are you most excited about?
