Hublot unveils a sensational new watch honouring Novak Djokovic

An LVMH Watch Week 2026 Milan launch, the Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition is a trilogy of three watches celebrating his tennis victories. Each edition features an abundance of tennis-inspired details.

What is the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition?

It is a trilogy of three watches that celebrate the unequalled tennis victories of Novak Djokovic. A Hublot Ambassador, he is considered “the greatest tennis player of all time.” At the time of authoring this article, his accomplishments include:

  • 24 Grand Slam titles (Australian Open 10, French Open 3, Wimbledon 7, and US Open 4).
  • 1 Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.
  • Ended the year as World Number One eight times.

Why are their three editions?

The three editions are based on the brand’s Big Bang Tourbillon and produced in a numbered series of 101 watches.

  • Blue: signifies his 72 hard court wins.
  • Orange: signifies his 21 clay court wins.
  • Green: signifies his 8 grass court wins.

Should he win a future tournament, the brand will make a numbered watch to add to the 101 pieces,“coloured according to the tournament surface.” The Australian Open 2026 Men’s Singles Final is just a few days away!

How does Hublot create the colours for the three editions?

Image: The case and bezel’s recycled composite material is “high-tech, lightweight, rigid, and marbled.” The six titanium screws on the bezel are shaped like tennis balls. “Hublot’s engineers had to design a special S-shaped screwdriver head that could tighten the screws, a process reminiscent of one developed previously for the Big Bang’s famous H-shaped screw heads.” The crown, remaining case screws, Hublot “One-Click” quick-strap change system pushers, and dial ring are made from anodised aluminium.

The three colours – matte blue, orange, and green – “appear most prominently” in the watch’s case; a creation of a “special Hublot-developed composite made from Lacoste polos and Head tennis racquets.” Djokovic is also a brand ambassador for Lacoste and Head. This composite material is exclusive to the brand and was first used in the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic of 2024. For the current trilogy, the items included 12 blue polos, 4 orange polos, and 2 green polos from Lacoste, and 12 racquets from Head – worn and used by him during tournaments.

Is the case an example of Hublot’s expertise in material innovation?

In addition to the Hublot-developed recycled composite material (described above) case and bezel, the middle section of the case or container is made from Titaplast®, an advance material and the world’s strongest polymer. “It has high-performance mechanical properties that are similar to titanium, can be machined to very fine tolerances, delivers an exceptional strength to weight ratio, and has a soft matte finish. It can also be coloured using an anodisation process.”

Case measures 44 mm (diameter) * 14.4 mm (thickness). Front side and caseback feature Gorilla tempered glass with anti-reflective treatment. Water resistant up to 30 ATM or 300 metres.

What are the tennis features on the strap?

Left: The caseback is secured by a coloured polished aluminium ring highlighting the edition number. The caseback text is engraved and filled with white lacquer. The Gorilla tempered glass used on the front and caseback is chemically strengthened and is “a highly durable, scratch-resistant material.” Left and Right: What looks like a tennis ball is actually a steel rochet covering the mainspring barrel. A complicated process in itself to create this “tennis ball”; no wonder the brand is renowned for material innovation.

Each edition comes with a white calfskin leather strap with white stitching “that is embossed so that it appears padded and patterned like the grip tape on tennis racquets.” Furthermore, the straps feature blue, orange, and green leather to match its respective case. The straps are secured by a Velcro® loop that go through a polished aluminium sport buckle in either blue, orange, and green to match the case. An additional white rubber strap with a titanium deployant clasp is provided. The brand’s “One-Click” quick strap change system enables the wearer to change straps easily.

What movement is it powered by?

Left: Front side of the movement. Notice the rhodium-plated 22K red gold automatic winding rotor “machined and laser-engraved to reveal the Hublot logo” at 12 o’clock. Right: The “latticed “string” mainplate” resembles the strings of a tennis raquet. The movement beats at a luxurious rate of 3 Hz, yet (along with the rest of the watch) is designed for sports and an active lifestyle. This is a watch Djokovic could play tennis with!

The watch is powered by HUB6035, a manufacture automatic movement with a tourbillon escapement that drives the hours and minutes. Parts: 293. Jewels: 26. Frequency: 21,600 vph or 3 Hz. Power reserve: 72 hours (approximately).

“In place of a traditional, solid mainplate to hold the movement components in place, Hublot’s engineers conceived an eye-catching three-dimensional lattice that takes the shape of tennis racquet strings. Each “string” is just 0.55 mm thick and appears to be secured into the mainplate edge by attachment points that echo those found around the inner rim of a tennis racquet. The gaps between the strings are intentionally irregular, as they would be on a tennis racquet mid-match. But while it may appear the mainplate is a series of individually twisted and weaved strings held in place by those attachment points, it is in fact a single piece, cleverly machined in a high-tech laser-engraving process. Once it’s laser-engraved, the mainplate is then finished with a black PVD coating with a thickness of just a few microns, before Novak’s famous swooping personal “ND1” logo is printed over it in contrasting white. It’s visually mesmerising and a glorious metaphor for Novak’s uncompromising, winning mentality and his many career achievements.”

Does the watch have a dial?

Left: Cutaway image of the aluminium tourbillon cage, that is anodised in blue, orange, or green to match the colour of its respective case. Right: Notice the thin sapphire crystal dial with applied hour-markers, and the colour coordinated minute track on the outer flange.

Yes, but not in the conventional sense. A thin sapphire crystal – over the “latticed “string” mainplate,” (described above) is the dial. It features applied hour-markers, which like the skeletonised hour and minute hands are satin-finished and coated with a layer of green Super-LumiNova.

What do we think?

Image: GOAT is an acronym for greatest of all time. Novak Djokovic wearing the watch that is worthy of him and his tennis accomplishments.

All three editions of the Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition highlight the best of Hublot. It is based on their iconic Big Bang; features material innovation for which the brand is renowned; sustainability as a result of the recycled polos and racquets (literally a “little bit of Novak” in each watch); high-end watchmaking; and rarity (especially the orange and green editions). A fitting tribute to the tennis legend that is Novak Djokovic.
