It’s official! Huawei Band 11 Series is now available in the UAE

• Huawei has officially launched its next-generation fitness trackers in the UAE, with prices starting from just AED 129. • The new series introduces a 2,000-nit micro-curved display on the Pro model and a larger 1.62-inch screen across the range. • Key upgrades include autonomous GNSS tracking, a dedicated Wheelchair Mode, and advanced emotional well-being monitoring.

What is new?

The HUAWEI Band 11 Series adopts a minimalist, athletic look. To begin with, both models feature a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, which offers 27% more screen space than the previous version. Furthermore, the Band 11 Pro features a micro-curved screen with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Consequently, this ensures the display remains clear even in direct sunlight, while the Band 11 reaches a highly capable 1,500 nits.

In addition to the screen improvements, both models are remarkably thin and light. For instance, the Pro version is only 8.99 mm thick and weighs approximately 18 g. Huawei uses a CNC-cut aluminium alloy for the body to keep it durable yet comfortable for all-day wear. Moreover, the software features a new Hex Grid Launcher. This layout makes it much simpler to find apps by scrolling through icons vertically.

How does it track fitness?

Regarding exercise, the Band 11 Pro includes its own autonomous satellite positioning system (GNSS). Therefore, the device can accurately map runs or cycling rides without a phone. Additionally, it is specifically built to resist sweat and possesses a 5 ATM water resistance rating. This makes it suitable for swimming and high-intensity training in shallow water.

Another significant update is the feature that monitors running posture directly from the wrist. Using a built-in 9-axis IMU sensor, it tracks how long your feet are on the ground and checks your left-right balance. As a result, this data helps users improve their technique and avoid injuries. Similarly, Huawei has added a Wheelchair Mode. This mode uses specific algorithms to track energy use and activity in wheelchair users rather than standard step counting.

How does it monitor health?

Beyond fitness, the series offers a full range of health tools. For example, it now tracks 12 different emotional states, represented as “floral states” on the screen, to help users understand their stress levels. Meanwhile, sleep tracking has become more detailed. A new “Nap Recap” feature analyses daytime rest and provides a summary of the quality.

Furthermore, the sensors check heart rate, oxygen levels, and breathing patterns during sleep. The Pro model even includes Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis to monitor for irregular heart rhythms. For women, the device includes a cycle calendar that predicts future dates based on historical data. Finally, it works as a practical tool for daily tasks, including a compass, a calculator, and a remote camera shutter.

What is the battery life?

In terms of endurance, the series features a 300 mAh battery. As a result, users can expect up to 14 days of battery life under light usage or 8 days with typical use. Even with the Always-On Display (AOD) enabled, the device lasts for approximately 3 days. This allows for consistent tracking without the need for daily charging.
