Honda has officially entered the electric motorcycle market with the debut of the Honda WN7. The electric motorcycle was unveiled as a production-ready model at the EICMA 2025 motorcycle show in Milan.
The Honda WN7 marks a pivotal moment for Honda, as it is the first production-ready, fully electric motorcycle developed by Honda under its FUN category, representing Honda’s new brand direction for its electric motorcycle lineup.
The Naked electric motorcycle’s mechanical backbone consists of a cutting-edge frameless chassis integrating the battery pack for weight centralisation, offering agility and excellent handling.

On the technological front, Honda WN7 is powered by a newly developed water-cooled electric motor producing 50 kW (about 67 horsepower) and 100 Nm of torque, which Honda claims is equivalent to a 600cc ICE engine. The motor transfers power to the rear wheel via a belt-driven technology — ensuring smooth and silent operation.
The Honda WN7 incorporates a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides an estimated range of 140 km (86mp), ideal for urban riding. The Motorcycle also features an Adjustable regenerative braking system with multiple riding modes—including Sport, Standard, Rain, and Econ— enabling riders to customise performance to match conditions and conserve energy.
Its CCS2 fast charging capability allows users to recharge from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, while full charging takes under 2.5 hours on a conventional outlet.

On the features front, Honda WN7 packs a very impressive brochure — including a bright 5-inch TFT display with smartphone integration, LED lighting, and smart key access.
At its unveiling at EICMA 2025, Honda introduced the WN7 as a full-production-ready model, ready to go on sale, and not merely a concept. The motorcycle is expected to go on sale from early 2026 onwards, with initial focus on the European and Japanese markets. The manufacturing is taking place at Honda’s Kumamoto Factory in Japan.
The WN7 is Honda’s way to demonstrate its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and rider enjoyment. This electric naked bike combines Honda’s years of engineering expertise with the future of electric mobility.
