G-Power loves taking fast BMWs and making them even wilder. They’ve done it to the M2, M3, M4, and M5, and now they’ve got four examples of their M8, called the G8M Hurricane RR, on display. Taking the BMW M8 and making it a G8M Hurricane RR took a bit more than some software tuning to get another two hundred and seventy-five horsepower out of it, it takes a full build!
G-Power now has four of these examples available for you to sample. The total power among these titans is in the neighborhood of 3,600 horsepower and 4,200 Nm. One of them is even the four-door version! Imagine having the ability to cart around four adults in comfort when you’re whisking away in your nine-hundred-horsepower sedan!
As part of the package, G-Power takes the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and guts most of the engine. At their facility, they remove and replace the pistons, and connecting rods, and overhaul the turbochargers with modifications to achieve the 900 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque. The turbochargers alone get new, larger turbine wheels and modified housing on the exhaust and compressor sides. The intercoolers are larger and were said to be designed with CAD to make them more powerful.
Out in the back G-Power Deeptone exhaust is used to make sure all the waste is disposed of in the most efficient and best-sounding way possible. Sport downpipes are used with 200-cell high-flow metallic catalytic converters with carbon-coated 100mm/110mm tailpipes. With the speed limiter removed, the G8M Hurricane RR will take you to a maximum speed of 330 km/h.
Visually and aerodynamically, there are a bit of changes too. G-Power adds a Dynamic rear wing, Venturi engine cover, and Hurricane forged wheels are fitted at 21×9” and 21×10.5” in two designs. The cars depicted are all shown with the GP-Motorsport carbon fiber grill as well. And if you think the interior is stock, they’ve got a host of leather and Alcantara options for you.
Cheers!
