Bigger Fleet, More Destinations
flydubai is growing fast in 2025. It’s adding 12 new Boeing 737 planes to its fleet, seven have already arrived between April and August, while the remaining five are expected by the end of the year. This will take the total number of aircraft to over 95, helping the airline connect to 135 cities in 57 countries.
New Routes Across Europe and the Middle East
This year, flydubai has launched flights to 11 new places, including Antalya, Al Alamein, Damascus, and Peshawar. It will soon add more European cities like Chișinău, Iași, Vilnius, and Riga. These new routes help flydubai reach more travellers and support Dubai’s role as a global travel hub.
Smart Financing and Better Cabins
To pay for the new planes, flydubai is using a mix of Islamic financing, bank loans, and leasing deals. At the same time, it’s upgrading 23 older aircraft with lie-flat Business Class seats and better entertainment systems in Economy Class.
Investing in People and Training
flydubai now has over 6,500 employees—a 10 per cent increase from last year. It has also started a new pilot training programme to prepare future crew members.
Staying Strong Despite Challenges
Although the airline is still 20 planes short of its original plan, CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith says flydubai is focused on long-term success and ready to grow even more.
