Finnair-American Codeshare To 12 Mexican Destinations Now Live

While the codeshare flights begin on January 23, 2025, they can be booked immediately.

To improve the convenience of travel to Mexico, Finnair has expanded its codeshare agreement with US-based American Airlines. According to the paperwork, the partnership now covers 12 destinations across Mexico, including Guanajuato, Monterrey, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Cancún, Cozumel, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Mérida, Oaxaca, Puerto Vallarta, Querétaro, and San José del Cabo airports.

Passengers will find links to all the above-mentioned destinations from American’s home hub – Dallas-Fort Worth. Finnair will operate up to one flight daily to the Texas-based airport during the ongoing winter season. In the upcoming summer period, Finland’s national carrier will increase the frequency to up to eleven weekly services.

Finnair’s partners operate the codeshare flights. However, the Finnish carrier sells seats using its own flight number. The expanded codeshare means travellers can travel the entire route via the USA with a Finnair flight number and bag Avios for the entire trip.

The codeshare flights begin on January 23, 2025, and tickets are on sale. In addition to American Airlines, its subsidiary Envoy Air will operate the codeshare services.
