The flag carrier of Fiji and the South Pacific, Fiji Airways, is now part of the oneworld airline alliance. The top-tier customers of the newest member airline will receive a full suite of oneworld benefits worldwide. The list includes access to approximately 700 airport lounges worldwide, as well as priority check-in and boarding, earning and redeeming miles, and accumulating tier points. Speaking of which, Fiji Airways has adopted American Airlines’ AAdvantage travel rewards programme as its frequent flyer programme. That means frequent flyers with the airline can take advantage of the benefits of the oneworld alliance as AAdvantage members.
With its home hub at Nadi International Airport, Fiji Airways presently offers flights to 25 destinations across 14 countries and territories. Tokyo, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Dallas-Fort Worth, which are also oneworld hubs, are part of the list. The airline’s current fleet comprises 23 aircraft, including Airbus A350-900s.
