Farnborough Airshow: Boeing Gets An Order From National Airlines

Florida-based National Airlines has placed an order for four 777 Freighters with Boeing. The announcement was made on the opening day of the Farnborough International Airshow 2024. Once delivered, the new freighters will join the airline’s nine Boeing 747-400 cargo planes.

The Boeing 777 Freighter carries the title of the longest-range twin-engine freighter with the most payload capacity. The aircraft can travel up to 9,200km (4,950 nautical miles) and carry up to 107 tonnes of cargo. Those figures allow operators to fly more freight over longer distances, equating to better overall efficiency.

To date, Boeing has delivered over 270 777 Freighters to operators worldwide. As things stand, the American aircraft manufacturer provides more than 90 per cent of the world’s dedicated freighter capacity in the air, including production and converted jets. Earlier this month, Boeing received an order for five 777 Freighters from Emirates.
