Etihad To Offer Improved Flying Experience On Kolkata Route

The carrier will soon deploy an A321LR, featuring First, Business, and Economy cabins.

To reinforce its commitment to the Indian market further, Etihad Airways has promised a comprehensively upgraded flying experience aboard its Kolkata connection. The national airline of the UAE will deploy a new Airbus A321LR on its nonstop service to the capital of the West Bengal state.

Beginning September 26, 2025, all Etihad Airways flights between Zayed International Airport and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport will use the aircraft mentioned above. Etihad has configured the A321LR with three cabin options: First, Business, and Economy.

The aircraft will have just two First Suites with forward-facing full-flat beds in a 1-1 layout. The following cabin will feature 14 Business Class lie-flat seats, also in a 1-1 configuration. Passengers in all cabins, including Economy, will have 4K screens, USB charging ports and access to high-speed Wi-Fi.

The introduction of an upgraded aircraft to improve the flying experience will undoubtedly strengthen Etihad Airways’ stature for those flying between Abu Dhabi and Kolkata.
