Earlier this month, Etihad confirmed new seasonal routes to three countries, followed by the introduction of a new aircraft for the Kolkata route. Additionally, the airline unveiled a new codeshare partnership with Sky express earlier today. Now, the UAE’s flag carrier has announced that seven new destinations will further strengthen its network, bringing more point-to-point traffic to Abu Dhabi.
The list includes Almaty, Kazakhstan; Baku, Azerbaijan; Bucharest, Romania; Medina, Saudi Arabia; Tbilisi, Georgia; Tashkent, Uzbekistan; and Yerevan, Armenia. The additions bump Etihad’s total number of new destinations for 2025 to 27. Flight tickets to all these destinations will soon go on sale over the coming few days.
Etihad will commence services to six of the seven newly announced destinations in March 2026. The only one that goes live sooner, in November 2025, is a nonstop connection to Medina. The airline plans to operate six weekly services to the home of the Prophet’s Mosque.
On March 2, 2026, Etihad will launch its direct flights to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The carrier will operate 10 weekly services to the city, situated near the Caspian Sea and boasting a mix of bold architecture, ranging from modern to ancient.
A week later, on March 9, 2026, the Abu Dhabi-Yerevan route will officially join Etihad’s network. The airline has planned 10 weekly flights, providing travellers with enough options to explore one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities across the globe.
Starting March 13, 2026, Etihad will introduce services to Tbilisi, operating eight round-trip flights per week. The town, situated between hills along the Kura River, boasts a diverse range of flavours that reflect Georgia’s rich cultural heritage.
On March 16, 2026, two more destinations go live for Etihad customers: Almaty and Bucharest. While the airline will run eight weekly services to the capital of Kazakhstan, it’ll operate four flights per week to the Romanian capital. The following day, Etihad will begin the Abu Dhabi-Tashkent route with six weekly frequencies.
