Emirates Will Have Five More Boeing Freighters By 2026

Boeing has received an order for five additional 777 Freighters from Emirates SkyCargo – the cargo division of the world’s largest international airline. The new order bumps Emirates’ order book for Boeing’s widebody aircraft to 245, including 10 777 Freighters.

The five additional Boeing 777 Freighters will join Emirates SkyCargo’s fleet by 2026. Once inducted into service, they will boost the main deck cargo capacity by 30 per cent, and the airline’s freighter fleet will increase to 17 aeroplanes, including 777 Freighters, 777 converted freighters and 747 Freighters.

The Boeing 777 Freighter can fly up to 9,200 kilometres (4,970 nautical miles) and carry up to 102 metric tons (112 tons) of cargo. Those figures make it the best performer in the twin-engine cargo jet space. Two hundred sixty-five examples of the said type of cargo aeroplane have been delivered to date, making it the best-selling freighter for Boeing ever.
