Edge by Titan unveils the remarkable new Fumage

The Fumage is presented in two colours: black and blue. Both feature a fumé dial and a case, bezel and integrated bracelet crafted from ceramic.

What is the Edge by Titan Fumage?

The Fumage is a ceramic time-only watch from Edge by Titan featuring a fumé dial powered by a quartz movement. Edge is a sub brand of Titan Watch Company (“Titan”). It is the brand’s first new ceramic case design in three years and is presented in black and blue. Titan is part of India’s USD $180 billion TATA Group. Fastrack, Raga, Sonata, Nebula (and few others) are other sub brands of Titan.

What are both models’ dial features?

Image: The fumé effect appears more pronounced on the black version, at least based on images. Notice the diamond cut sword-shaped hands, applied hour-markers, and the vertical satin and polished finishes on the bracelet.

Both versions feature a fumé effect dial with a gradient finish, darker at the edges and lighter at the centre. A hand-spraying process creates the fumé process, where the high-gloss lacquer gradually becomes darker away from the centre. This process is completed by applying a protective clear coat to provide “durability and a refined finish.”

What are its case and bracelet features?

Both versions feature a two-piece case made from Grade A ceramic. It measures 39 mm (width)* 42.3 mm (length) * 5.05 mm (thickness). The bezel is made from Grade A ceramic. Dial side features a sapphire crystal. The integrated bracelet is made from free-fall ceramic and is fitted with a butterfly clasp. Water resistant up to 3 ATM or 30 metres.

Is it powered by an ultra-thin quartz movement?

Yes. Both versions are powered by Edge calibre T-9081, a quartz movement that drives the hours and minutes. Time is set via the crown at 3 o’clock.

The same movement powers the UltraSlim, which at 3.3 mm is the thinnest Edge watch ever made. Though both are powered by the T-9081, the UltraSlim displays time in 10-minute intervals via the central single hand on the rotating disc. In the UltraSlim, the T-9081 has a thickness of 1.15 mm, among the thinnest quartz movements in the world. The T-9081 used in the Fumage might be slightly thicker due to the hour and minute hands.

What do we think?

Image: A masterclass in design, and definitely a conversation starter at watch GTGs.

I was fortunate to handle the black version of the Fumage at the Chambers of Time by Titan exhibit during India Watch Weekend 2026 held in Mumbai last month. Packed with an abundance of details, it is an impressive watch; one that showcases the brand’s expertise in ceramics and quartz movements. The Fumage is a worthy addition to the brand’s lineup.
