What is included in the order?
At the Dubai Airshow 2025, Air Côte d’Ivoire signed a firm order for four Embraer E175 aircraft, plus eight additional purchase rights. Each aircraft will be configured with 76 seats in a two-class layout: 12 in Business Class and 64 in Economy, designed to deliver comfort and efficiency across short-haul networks.
When will deliveries start?
The first E175 delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2027. The transaction will be reflected in Embraer’s Q4 2025 backlog, aligning production and programme milestones with the airline’s growth plan.

How will the aircraft be used?
Air Côte d’Ivoire will deploy the E175s on domestic and regional routes, gradually replacing turboprops. The E175 was selected for its greater range, higher speed, improved passenger comfort, and increased cargo capacity—key advantages for flexible, reliable operations.
What does this mean for connectivity at the Abidjan hub?
The aircraft will feed the Abidjan hub, enabling higher frequencies and stronger regional links. Following the launch of long-haul service to Paris Charles de Gaulle, the E175s will optimise onward connections, improving schedule depth and network resilience.
What are the leadership comments?
CEO Laurent Loukou called the order a major step in the fleet strategy, citing the E175’s fit for African markets and its benefits in performance, comfort, and operating economics. Embraer’s Arjan Meijer welcomed the airline to the E‑Jet family, highlighting immediate gains in connectivity and efficiency.

What is Embraer’s footprint in Africa?
Embraer has 250 aircraft in operation across 56 African operators. Over the past decade, its fleet grew at a 7.5 per cent CAGR, giving Embraer a 31 per cent share of the market for aircraft with up to 150 seats.
