Boeing Gets A New Order For 737s From Aviation Capital Group

California-headquartered aircraft lessor Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has struck a new deal with Boeing. Per the paperwork, ACG has ordered 35 Boeing 737 MAX jets – sixteen 737-8s and nineteen 737-10s. The latest purchase order follows a similar deal the two parties struck in September last year. ACG’s order book for the Boeing 737 MAX family jets now stands at 82.

The 737-8 can seat up to 210 passengers based on the configuration and cover up to 3,500 nautical miles (6,480km) nonstop. On the other hand, the 737 MAX family’s largest member, the 737-10, can carry up to 230 passengers. It offers a range of up to 3,100 nautical miles (5,740km). Both derivatives deliver reduced carbon emissions and fuel consumption by 20 per cent over their predecessors.

ACG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation. The aircraft leasing company was founded in 1989 and is currently one of the world’s biggest firms in its field. As of the end of March this year, it had over 480 owned, managed, and committed aircraft under its umbrella. The jets have been leased to about 90 carriers in approximately 45 countries.
