BMW F 450 GS Unveiled at EICMA 2025: A New Era of Lightweight Adventure Riding

At EICMA 2025, BMW Motorrad unveiled the all-new F 450 GS, a lightweight adventure bike packed with a 450cc parallel-twin engine, advanced tech, and bold styling.

At the 2025 EICMA Milan, BMW Motorrad unveiled its much-anticipated adventure motorcycle – The BMW F 450 GS. BMW F 450 GS is a production-ready adventure motorcycle co-developed alongside the Indian motorcycle maker TVS.
The BMW F 450 GS is positioned as a lightweight adventure motorcycle that blends the iconic GS  heritage with modern technology aimed at riders looking for an entry-level segment ADV.
At the heart of the new BMW F 450 GS sits a newly developed  420cc parallel-twin engine, engineered to deliver 48 hp of output at 8,750 rpm alongside 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is tuned to strike a balance between spirited performance and linear power delivery, offering a rideability suited for both city commuting and highway performance.
The BMW F 450 GS comes in four different variants: Basic, exclusive, sport, and trophy, catering to a variety of riders and their requirements. The Trophy variant comes equipped with BMW Motorrad’s Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), improving operating and overall rideability. Although ERC comes standard on the ‘Trophy’ variant, but can be retrofitted onto other variants if the rider chooses to.
The BMW F 450 GS weighs about 178 kg, featuring a newly developed tubular steel space frame designed for optimal rigidity and robustness. Suspended by the frame is a KYB 43mm USD fork with adjustable preload and rebound damping at the front, and a rear monoshock with 180mm of travel.
Braking duties are handled by a 310mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston fixed calliper and a 240mm rear disc with a ByBre unit.
The BMW F 450 GS gets top-of-the-line riding aids such as ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and Dynamic Brake Control.  The F 450 GS offers three riding modes as standard, which are “Rain”, “Road”, and “Enduro”, and an additional “Enduro Pro” mode for allows the riders to tweak the motorcycle’s performance settings to suit their individual preferences for Off-road endeavours.
The F 450 GS features a 6.5-inch TFT display, which comes equipped with smart connectivity and allows riders to toggle through various riding modes that are offered on the motorcycle.
Stylistically, the BMW F 450 GS sports a distinctive angular design philosophy trickled down from the elder GS models. The motorcycle features an angular 14-litre fuel tank design and a signature GS beak-style front end.
Moreover, riders can opt for optional BMW accessories, which include an Akrapovic exhaust, side bags, tail bags, luggage rolls, tank bags, luggage racks, and top cases.
The Motorcycle is not only jointly developed by TVS, but it’ll also be manufactured and produced in India by TVS to be exported around the global market.
