Bentley Motors announced the launch of a new and improved carbon fibre design elements for the latest generation of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible (GTC), and Flying Spur models, offering customers an aesthetically pleasing and practical option that enhances the refined sporting character for which its cars are renowned. This specification builds on the highly popular previous generation, in which a quarter of Bentley owners worldwide opted for carbon fibre design accents, reflecting the growing demand for exclusive, dynamic touches.
The new specification includes a range of elements developed from the ground up to integrate with Bentley’s modern design language seamlessly. These components include an enhanced front splitter crafted from carbon fibre, full-length side skirts adorned with electroplated metal Bentley badges, and a larger, more comprehensive rear diffuser than the previous generation, lending the car’s exterior a bolder, more powerful presence. Handcrafted mirror caps made from the same material have also been added, ensuring all elements are meticulously coordinated to guarantee a perfect match along the car’s centreline.
This specification combines refined aesthetics with practicality, leveraging the inherent strength and lightweight properties of carbon fibre. The carbon fibre layers are carefully stacked for durability, and each piece undergoes rigorous testing, including extended laboratory stress cycles, to ensure it can withstand demanding conditions while maintaining the glossy finish that accentuates the car’s luxurious, sporty appearance.
A highlight of this specification is the three-dimensional badges integrated into the side skirts, created using a special electroforming technique to produce a multifaceted surface that elegantly reflects light. At the same time, the precision manufacturing process maintains a flawless, pure finish. These specifications are now available across the entire range, including Mulliner, allowing customers to personalise their vehicles to a greater extent than ever before. They can also be ordered when purchasing a new car or fitted through Bentley’s global retail network for current-generation owners.
Integrated with the aerodynamic systems and advanced engineering of the new Bentley hybrid models, these specifications not only enhance the aesthetics but also complement the powerful performance of up to 782 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. With this, Bentley reaffirms its commitment to the perfect blend of luxury and engineering excellence.
