At EICMA 2025 in Milan, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Benda unveiled the Benda P51 Concept — a revolutionary hybrid motorcycle set to redefine the lightweight quarter-litre sportbike segment.
The Benda P51 concept is powered by a unique 250cc liquid-cooled boxer twin engine paired with an electric motor. The P51’s hybrid P1+P3 setup delivers an impressive 62 hp of power and 100 Nm of torque. To transfer the power to the rear wheels, the Benda P51 incorporates a single-gear automatic transmission, ensuing a smooth and seamless acceleration off the line.

Despite its small displacement, the Benda P51 manages to achieve 0-100 km/h sprint in only 3.7 seconds, performance figures more commonly seen in much larger displacement motorcycles than P5’s 250cc boxer. The performance can be owed to the incredibly lightweight chassis, which weighs about 176 kg, and instant power delivery thanks to the electric motors.
Design-wise, the P51 draws inspiration from classic boxer motorcycles and aircraft aesthetics alike. Its signature round LED headlight features a distinctive “X” motif, complemented by girder-style fork covers and a muscular fuel tank, resulting in a modern, futuristic roadster-esque motorcycle.

As of yet, Benda hasn’t confirmed an official timeline for the launch of a production-ready model, but expect it to be sometime during mid to end of 2026.
As the motorcycle industry increasingly embraces electrification, Benda’s P51 heralds as a touch bearer for the industry’s new chapter, blending traditional internal combustion engines with advanced hybrid systems. Further advancing towards a future of sustainable mobility on two wheels.
