Belkin Unveils New Sustainable Tech

Belkin also announced its achievement of a Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis, a global leader in sustainability ratings.

Belkin, a veteran in consumer electronics, has unveiled a suite of new products at ShowStoppers during Mobile World Congress, showcasing its dedication to innovation, sustainability, and quality across its mobile power, audio, and connectivity ranges. The company reinforced its commitment to environmental responsibility, alongside the introduction of cutting-edge tech accessories.

A cornerstone of Belkin’s presentation was its ongoing sustainability efforts. The company is progressing towards its goal of achieving 100% carbon neutrality in its offices and operations by 2025 and extending that to its entire business, including product-level emissions, by 2030. Notably, Belkin has transitioned over 359 products to utilize 72-75% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, replacing 432 metric tons of virgin plastics.

This year, Belkin is further enhancing its sustainability efforts by updating the product housing materials of its popular chargers and cables to consist of 85-90% PCR. These new accessories will be certified by the Global Recycling Standard and sold in plastic-free packaging, potentially reducing CO2-eq emissions for these product housing materials by up to 85%.

Belkin also announced its achievement of a Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis, a global leader in sustainability ratings. This recognition places Belkin among the top-performing companies in the consumer electronics sector, with an overall score ranking in the top 15% globally.

In the realm of mobile power, Belkin introduced the BoostCharge Power Bank with Display, available in 10K and 20K options. These power banks feature a detachable cable, a digital display for battery tracking, and pass-through charging. The 20K model includes USB-C and USB-A ports, offering versatility for charging various devices. Belkin also launched the BoostCharge Power Bank with Integrated Cable, available in 10K and 20K variants, supporting fast Power Delivery (PD) charging and featuring built-in USB-C cables.

For travellers, Belkin unveiled the BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Wireless Travel Pad (3-in-1), a versatile charger that functions as both a flat pad and a stand. It supports 15W fast wireless charging for iPhone/Qi2 devices, 5W for Apple Watch, and 5W for earbuds. The Travel Tech Organizer, a water-resistant nylon case, provides a compact solution for organizing travel essentials.

In audio, Belkin introduced the SoundForm Surround headphones, designed for comfort and performance. These foldable, extendable over-ear headphones feature Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), 60-hour battery life, Bluetooth 5.4, Multipoint connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

For connectivity, Belkin presented the 11-in-1 Pro GaN Dock, a sleek and space-saving dock offering up to 150W of GaN power. This dock features a wide array of ports, including support for up to three external displays at 4K@60Hz, or single displays up to 8K@30Hz (Windows only) or 4K@120Hz. It also includes USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and MicroSD slots, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
