Direct Connection from Miami to Bimini
American Airlines will begin nonstop flights from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Bimini, Bahamas, on February 14, 2026. This will be the only direct service from the U.S. to the island, while providing more flexibility for passengers.
Flights Three Times a Week
The airline will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. American Airlines will use an Embraer 175 aircraft, featuring economy and premium seating options.
Easy Access to Beaches and Resorts
Bimini is known for its clear waters, white beaches, and relaxed atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy activities like snorkelling, fishing, and dolphin tours. The island also has luxury resorts and local seafood restaurants. With over 80 cities connecting through Miami, the new route offers a smooth travel experience for American Airlines passengers.
Part of a Wider Expansion Plan
American Airlines is adding Bimini to its growing list of unique destinations. Other new routes include Prague, Budapest, and Sun Valley. The airline says it wants to give customers more choices for travel and leisure.
