All-new MG4 Electric EV Goes On Sale in the Middle East; Starts at AED 96,050 approx.

MG Motor has launched the all-new MG4 Electric for the Middle East further diversifying its lineup in the region. It aims to redefine the Electric Vehicle (EV) ownership experience in the region with its combination of technology, performance, design, and more importantly, affordability. The MG4 Electric is derived from the brand’s new 100% Electric Modular Scalable Platform and the vehicle’s design concept, “Energetic Agile”.

Exterior: Sporty hatch w/ carbon-fibre effect diffuser and “Twin Aero” rear spoiler

The sleek exterior of this “urban hatchback” features an array of sophisticated design elements, including pronounced creases on the bodywork, high-tech U-shaped headlights, longitudinal tail lamps, 17-inch alloys wheels, a carbon-fibre effect diffuser and a “Twin Aero” rear spoiler. It is available in a variety of vibrant colours, including a special green exterior exclusive to the XPOWER version.

Interior: Minimalist 2-tone design w/ floating centre console

Inside, the MG4 Electric offers a minimalist and spacious cabin featuring a 2-tone design. Highlights include a 2-spoke, flat bottom steering wheel, a floating console with a rotary gear selector, a 7-inch instrument panel, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a wireless phone charger. It also features 60:40 split folding rear seats and ’28 intelligent Genius Storage Solutions’.

Drivetrain: 150kW E-Motor hooked to a 51/64/77 kWh battery; RWD layout

The Middle East will see three variants of the MG4 Electric, namely COM, LUX and XPOWER. The COM model offers a range of up to 465 km WLTP with a 51 kWh battery, while the LUX variant extends the range to 530 km WLTP with a 64 kWh battery. The top-of-the-line LUX version boasts an impressive range of 530 km WLTP with a 77 kWh battery. Last but not least, the XPOWER performance model has a range up to 400 km WLTP. The MG4 Electric is said to be equipped with ‘fast charging’ capabilities as well. Performance-wise, the MG4 Electric is equipped with a 150kW E-motor that sends power to the rear-wheel drive system allowing it to get from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

Safety: Zero Thermal Runaway Battery Protection & ADAS

The MG4 Electric also boasts a robust set of safety configurations, including the DP EPS Electronic Steering System, One Box Brake System, and Zero Thermal Runaway Battery Protection. Its high-strength body, ADAS and advanced MG Pilot System (with multiple cameras and high-perception radars) ensure maximum safety for all occupants. Furthermore, 10 continuous mechanical impacts in each direction showcased crash and high voltage safety for the drivers and passengers, while the electric switch durability test was carried over more than 70,000 cycles to ensure a reliable electric function.

Pricing & Warranty: Starts at AED 95,060 approx.; 8-yr battery coverage

The all-new 2025 MG4 Electric starts at a price of USD 26,150 (excl. VAT) or approximately AED 96,050. The price includes a 6-year/200,000 km warranty for the vehicle and a 8-year 200,000km warranty for the battery.
