Alfa Romeo Museum Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Multiple Events Scheduled This Year

Alfa Romeo’s Arese Museum turns 50 in 2026 and is celebrating with a packed calendar that includes global Aflisti gatherings, Duetto celebrations, handbuilt legacy showcase, and more.

The Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, Italy, opened in 1976. Half a century later, it remains the spiritual HQ for Alfisti, and is now also embedded within the brand’s Bottegafuoriserie project. It’s a celebration of Alfa’s DNA, its design, racing pedigree, and that unmistakable Italian flair that makes even standing still feel dramatic.

What Are The Main Alfa Romeo Events In 2026?

100 Years Of Touring

Alfa Romeo’s 2026 calendar kicks off on March 29 with Alfa Romeo and Carrozzeria Touring celebrating a century of building cars together. From the beautiful Superleggera berlinetta to the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, the two brands have worked together to produce some of the most iconic hand-built cars in history. This event will include a conference and a parade of all the hand-built cars on the museum’s track.

Celebrating The Spider

April shifts focus to the 60th anniversary of the 1600 Spider “Duetto.” Produced from 1966 to 1994, it’s one of Alfa’s most recognisable shapes. The Museum will be celebrating open-air driving on the 60th anniversary of the iconic spider’s launch with a conference, parade, and exhibition for enthusiasts to put their cars on show at the Museum in phases until December.

What is Alfa Romeo Day?

June 21 marks the biggest event of the year. It’s Alfa Romeo Day. Timed close to the brand’s traditional June 24 anniversary, it doubles as the museum’s 50th birthday celebration.

This year, it will involve global Alfa Romeo clubs and gatherings, heritage talks, parades, and a crowd that genuinely understands why a Busso V6 sounds like poetry. It’s more of a religious gathering for petrolheads. After all, you don’t really become a true petrolhead until you’ve owned an Alfa, right?

What Other Exhibitions & Experiences Are Planned?

Beyond the headline moments, 2026 is stacked with niche but meaningful experiences. The “Cuore Sportivo” exhibition opens on May 10, showcasing Alfa’s broader engineering footprint, ranging from cars and aircraft to marine tech, and experimental prototypes.

Then there’s the Documentation Center Open Day. With over 6,000 linear metres of archives, it’s essentially Alfa Romeo’s brain laid bare and comprises technical drawings, historical records, and the kind of material that makes engineers weak at the knees. Add to that conferences, book launches, parades, and recurring “Family Sundays,” and you’ve got a year-long festival.
