Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Expands BYD Presence in UAE

Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company (AFEMC) has opened its second showroom in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with global electric vehicle (EV) leader, BYD. The new facility, strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road, aims to enhance customer accessibility and experience in the UAE.

The showroom boasts a spacious 750 square meter area, showcasing BYD’s full range of electric vehicles, including the premium sedan BYD HAN, the sporty BYD SEAL, the family SUV BYD ATTO 3, and the plug-in hybrid models BYD SONG PLUS and BYD QIN PLUS. An interactive discovery zone offers visitors an in-depth look at BYD’s innovative Blade battery and DM-i engine technologies.

This expansion aligns with the UAE government’s vision of having 40,000 EVs on the road by 2030. AFEMC has already achieved remarkable success, with over 1,000 BYD vehicles sold and 5,000 showroom visits at its first location in Dubai Festival City. The company aims to further strengthen its presence by opening additional showrooms and after-sales service centres across the UAE.

Hasan Nergiz, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company, expressed enthusiasm about the growing demand for electric vehicles in the UAE. He highlighted the company’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service and expanding its network to meet the increasing customer base.

AD Huang, General Manager of BYD Middle East & Africa, emphasized the significance of the new showroom in reinforcing BYD’s position in the region. He expressed confidence in the company’s ambitious plans for the Middle East market, driven by the increasing popularity of electric vehicles.
