Akasa Air To Expand Network With A New International Destination

The first in Southeast Asia will become the airline’s sixth overseas and 29th overall destination.

Akasa Air To Phuket

One of India’s youngest and rapidly growing airlines, Akasa Air, has confirmed that starting September 20, 2025, it’ll begin flying a nonstop service to Phuket, Thailand, from India’s financial capital, Mumbai. The route will be a daily affair, operated using a Boeing 737. Flight QP 0618 will depart from the capital of Maharashtra at 07:45 and arrive in Phuket at 14:35. The return leg, flight QP 0619, will start and conclude its journey at 15:35 and 19:15, respectively. All times mentioned are local.

Akasa Air Expanding Reach

Mumbai-headquartered Akasa Air has been busy expanding its reach within and outside India. Once the newly announced route goes live, Phuket will become the carrier’s first getaway in Southeast Asia, its sixth international, and 29th overall.

Praveen Iyer, the co-founder and chief commercial officer of Akasa Air, shared his excitement about the addition of Phuket to the airline’s network. He further mentioned, “With conveniently timed daily direct flights connecting Mumbai with Phuket, we are not only catering to the aspirations of modern Indian travellers but also strengthening the cultural and economic bridges between India and Thailand”.
